Here's How To Clear Your Twitter Search History

Twitter keeps a record of every 25 searches you make on it. These searches help Twitter improve your search experience in future by predicting search terms and giving accurate results.

These searches also help Twitter serve more relevant ads to you because they know the kind of stuff you are looking for.

With that said, sometimes you might want to get rid of this search history.  If you are sharing your Twitter account with family, a friend or a colleague, and you don't want them to see what you've been searching for, you can easily clear this search history. 

  

Click once inside the search  box and a list of your previous searches will appear. To delete a single search,  click on the X button next to that entry.  

To delete all your search history,  click on the 'Clear All'  button. Your search history will disappear immediately. 

On Android,  launch the app and sign in to your account if you haven't.  Tap on the search icon,  the tap inside the search box.
A list of previous searches will appear.  Tap on the X symbol next to it to delete that entry.  The Twitter app on your device does not have a 'Clear All' button.  But it only stores up to 25 searches that you can easily delete.
